Record Number of Visits in November and 2019 Predictions

Increased retail activity and 2019 predictionsThe increase of visits in November was partially due to a push in in-store retail marketing during the lead up to Christmas.
Similarly, the rise is unlikely to slow down in 2019 as IGD predicts that in-store activities will increase in the new year with a focus on how technology can be used in-store to promote products and improve customer experience.

Premium Italian brand II Viaggiator Goloso has "enables its electronic shelf-edge labels to show the online reviews and scores products have received. This gives customers a more informed choice in store". Similarly, Retail Design World reported retailers Currys PC World had introduced interactive gaming zones in several branches to provide customers with a unique in-store experience that they would not receive when shopping online.
